Meraki Photography

Meet Kirsten Roxanne

Quiet, curious, and endlessly observant, Kirsten Roxanne has a way of seeing the world others might miss. In 2019, she turned that vision into Meraki, her lifestyle photography studio.
She’s the kind of photographer who notices the little things the way light brushes a shoulder, how hands find each other, or how colour and texture can turn an ordinary moment into something unforgettable.
Kirsten specialises in lifestyle photography couples, families, and portraits and captures people just as they are: unposed, unforced, and completely present. Her work sits somewhere between candid and considered: textured, contemporary, and full of life. She’s equally at home capturing moments in soft natural light or shaping them in the studio one of her greatest strengths is making any light work for the story she wants to tell.
Her approach is relaxed, playful, and fly-on-the-wall. She loves colour, movement, and those fleeting, in-between moments that often go unnoticed the tiny details that make her images unmistakably Meraki.
In 2021, her work was honoured with a Top 10 nomination in the Portrait category at the African Photo Awards, a lovely recognition of a style that quietly stands out in a sea of sameness.
Meraki isn’t about perfection it’s about presence. It’s about noticing, feeling, and capturing your story with heart, soul, and just the right touch of magic.
